Blogger Shares Chart Comparing Working Moms To Stay-At-Home Moms, Is Going Viral

in Uncategorized

A common conversation most women will discuss at some point is wheter or not they are better off out in the task force or remaining at home to take care of their brood. Something that is a personal decision to all of us for many different reason. Blogger Lori Alexander seems to have caused quiet an uproar on social media after sharing a chart called “Should Mothers Have Careers?” According to a lot of women the chart is totally ridiculous.

The post was shared by Lori on the Transformed Wife which details her life about Christian motherhood and marriage. The image is displayed like flowchart, with working moms’ lives on one side and stay-at-home moms’ lives on the other.

Recently Lori fanned the flames by posting this flowchart about working moms vs. stay-at-home moms. The post has nearly 2,000 comments and counting, and well… you can see why.

On the working mom side, life seem to become progressively worse and worse.

Away from home hours every day,” the chart reads. “Comes home exhausted. Dinner is usually fast food or microwaved.” Also: “Too tired for intimacy with husband.”

Apparently for stay-at-home moms, life is seemingly a breeze.

Home all day long,” the chart says. “Rests while her children nap. Dinner is from scratch, nutritious, and delicious. Reads to children, plays games, disciplines, teaches about Jesus all day long.”

It seems the chart concludes that stay-at-home moms have way better lives.

Sparking responses from both working moms and stay-at-home moms to prove her wrong, and it seems the responses are spot-on.

Most of the remaining comments are from wives and mothers who didn’t really appreciate being pitted against other moms.

Now that the post is drowning in angry comments, Lori hasn’t bothered to reply to most of them.

But Lori did have a response for one mother who wrote that she was never able to rest once while her children napped.

It’s your own fault if you didn’t nap when your children napped,” she wrote. “There are areas that we have full control over as mothers being home full time,” Lori adds.

So moms the answer is simple! If you have a job then you should quit, stay at home everything will be just perfect.

Parents warned about this Facebook trend, but for this mom, it’s too late. The photos are everywhere.

in Uncategorized

For this mom though, the warnings came too late: Investigators found the photo of her daughter on a dubious child site. There seem to be people out there who scan social networks with the sole purpose of finding photos of children to then trade. This mom made it easy for the perpetrators because the photos of her daughter were on Facebook for all to see. So this “Motherhood Challenge” has now become the touchstone for the privacy of children on the net.

It’s a humid summer’s day: At a public outdoor pool, a mother takes a photo of her daughter with her smartphone. She wants to share the photo on Facebook, contributing to the so-called, “Motherhood Challenge”, where proud mothers showcase pictures of their children. The mother accepts the challenge and uploads a picture of her daughter in her swimsuit. What this leads to could have been prevented, had the mom listened to the known warnings.

Police worldwide are warning parents not to publish photos of their children on social networks. And here are four very good reasons why parents should listen:

1. Children’s photos play straight into the hands of stalkers and sex offenders. Strangers can help themselves to these photos and also find out where the child and family live.
2. Children’s photos give a bad example in terms of data protection: parents are consenting to their privacy being exposed on the internet.
3. Children’s photos make identity theft easier for strangers wanting to falsify user profiles with these photos in order to approach other children or adolescents on the net.
4. Children’s photos lead to bullying. Of course, the parents find them cute but later on when the children reach puberty, they could become victims of bullying because of the flood of images.

Many countries are debating the prospect of tightening the laws of data protection in order to better protect the privacy of children. France is acting as a role model in these matters, whereby the publishing of pictures without the consent of the person is penalized with a fine of up to $50,000 or a year in jail. It is a strict law, which can also be applied retrospectively. This means that even adult children could sue their parents for illicitly posting pictures. Facebook even wants to react to this problem by warning about the future uploading of images when they are posted publicly.

The data protection issue has been cause for concern for a while now and not only when children’s photos are involved.  In this day and age, with face recognition and data theft, you should really seriously consider what details you reveal about yourself. Tips on how to protect your privacy on Facebook can be found here and under settings, you will be able to see who has access to your photos and posts.

More Contaminated Cauliflower & Lettuce Have Been Recalled Due to Possible E. Coli

in Uncategorized

Information was shared around Thanksgiving on the recall of romaine lettuce and an outbreak of E. coli. The FDA since then have identified one of the particular farms responsible for the contaminated produce. But thats not all….

For precautionary reason, Adam Bros. Farming have decided to voluntarily recall their green leaf lettuce, red leaf lettuce, and cauliflower from the market. Although none of these items have actually caused illness or been tested positive for any strains of E. coli, there was a possibility of exposure while growing particular fields during harvest.

The company announced in a press release that they were cooperating with the FDA and issued a recall asking consumers to  discard or return the products to the store for a refund. In 2018 between November 27th 30th the produce was harvested and distributed throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The FDA has advised that since the outbreak consumers will  notice a new labelling system which includes the harvest location and date. In addition to that the agency also warns any purchases recalled that was harvest in Monterey, Santa Barbara, and San Benito counties in California should be avoided.

59 people have become infected since the E. coli outbreak began, while 23 of them required hospitalisation. Both The investigation continues to be conducted by the CDC and FDA to determine where the E. coli outbreak originated from California farms.

If you purchased one of the above items, throw it away or return it to the place of purchase. If you suspect illness due to an E. coli infection, proceed to inform your health care provider and report the case to the FDA.

If  you have any Adam Bros. Farming products or were affected by the original romaine lettuce recall last month, let us know?

Dad Photoshops His Daughter Into Dangerous Scenarios To Freak Out His Family

in Uncategorized

Its tough work being a parent, like, really tough work. Other the obvious, like paying for everything, changing nappies, waking earlier than we desire, and having to deal with temper tantrums. However as a parent, one of the things that makes it so hard, is constantly trying to protect our kids.

You don’t have to become a helicopter parent, but particularly with toddlers and infants it’s your responsibility as a parent to ensure your child is safe. Our children’s safety is always on the forefront our minds which can be rather stressing at times.

We have to constantly make sure small toys like LEGOs doesn’t end up in our little one’s mouth because it could be choking hazard. We seriously had to take a second look at all of the images.

Sharp objects have to be kept away from young kids. Then of course there’s the hot oven or stove thats generally at their level, honestly its best if they aren’t in the kitchen at all.

One father has devised a unique way to deal with the amount of stress that comes with being a parent while trying to keep a child safe at the same time.

In an attempt to scare his relatives he is basically photoshopping his little girl into potentially dangerous but believable situations.

They may look a little ridiculous, like who would allow their child to hold a sharp knife in the kitchen and stop to take a picture of it.

Nor would you allow your child drive the car.

I mean some a little more realistic you could find a child leaning over the stairs which makes your hearts stop for a second until you realise this is only photoshop.

These images portray our biggest fears into pictures. How do you think your family would react if you photoshopped your child into similar situations?

Dad Prepares To Defend Bullied Daughter At Board Meeting Then She Takes His Place And Stuns Them

in Uncategorized

One young girl despised going to school for a reason that we are all becoming far too familiar with.  Delanie Marcotte of New Hampshire, claims her classmates were horrible to her both verbally and physically. After attempting to get the school district to resolve the issue, her family felt left down by the lack of response to the situation.

Delanie and her parents attended her district’s school board meeting, in July 2018. At that stage they had enough of the bullying and hoped her story would encourage community leaders to take proper action.

Delanie’s dad, Todd, prepared to face the eight-member board and speak on her behalf, but thats when his daughter Delanie stopped him.

Nobody expected these words to come out of this young girl.

“Can I go?” she asked Todd. As the brave fifth grader decided she wanted to be the one to share her own experiences.

So her father sat down and Delanie took his place before the board and read the statement she had prepared entirely on her own.

The whole room was left speechless after listening to her powerful words, which ended up being shared by thousands of people afterwards.

Take a look at the powerful video for more details on her emotional story:

Student nurse saves child choking on candy in metro – thanks to technique learned in class

in Uncategorized

We regularly hear that most heroes don’t wear capes, the majority aren’t necessarily celebs either.

Despite constantly hearing terrible stories of tragedies from all over the globe, there are plenty wonderful stories of solidarity and kindness which deserve to be shared for others to hear.

One day after work, María López was traveling on the subway, totally unaware that she was about to change the life of a little boy and his family forever.

On November 23rd, 18 year-old María López entered a metro station in Granada where she had no idea it was going to be a trip she would remember

While she sat on the metro, Maria suddenly heard desperate cries of a pleading mother frantically looking for help, according to the IES website, the institute where Maria studied nursing.

“My Son Is Choking!”

The mother screamed: “My son, he’s choking! He’s choking! “, as she desperately tried to get a reaction from the 9-year-old boy.

Maria immediately sprang into action she ran towards the mom and her son while other metro’s passengers remained frozen in their seats.

She observed that the boy was red and had his hands wrapped around his neck as she got closer to him. Maria also noticed that the boy’s colour was changing as he was starting to turn purple.

It was time for Maria to put her nursing training to the test. Only a month prior to this incident, Maria studied cardiopulmonary resuscitation in her course also referred to  as CPR.

“I didn’t even think about it,” María told local paper Granda Hoy “I saw that people were not reacting and I got upset.”

Maria placed the child across her lap and began the Heimlich manoeuvre. Eventually she managed to get the child to vomit up the candy which caused him to choke.

María recalls the particular day she took her theoretical class, it “did not go so well.” However thankfully, in real life, “everything worked out,” María remarks.

“Thank You For Helping Me”

Once the boy regained his strength his first words to Maria were: “Thank you for helping me.”

It’s evident that Maria will be a great health professional. She has demonstrated that she is capable of applying the knowledge which she learned in school.

Most of all she displayed courage about how to react in emergency situations.

If you agree this brave young woman deserves recognition then please SHARE this post with your friends on Facebook.

Here’s What Happens When You Eat Celery Every Day for a Week

in Uncategorized

Somewhere in between kale and spinach, we forgot about another healthy green: Celery!

Celery is one of those totally underrated vegetables that people tend to swear off because they think it’s all water with no real nutritional value. But that’s one big myth we’re about to debunk.

While celery is 95 percent water, it still can do wonders for your health, body, and mind—especially if you can sneak it into your diet every day. And that shouldn’t be too hard considering how versatile the veggie is. You can add it to your smoothies, juice it, eat it with hummus for a snack, add it to soup. You can also just eat the stalks plain.

So what exactly happens if you consume a little celery every day? Try it out and you might experience some of these awesome benefits.

To start off, celery is a good source of phytonutrients, which are a compound found in certain plants. There are many different kinds of phytonutrients, but most of them have a ton of health benefits, including antioxidant properties, being an anti-inflammatory, and being good for your liver.

Additionally, because celery is so low in calories (it comes in around 10-15 calories a stalk), eating celery every day can help you lose weight. Of course, you’ll have to combine this with proper nutrition and exercise, but celery can certainly aid you in the process.

On that note, since the fiber content in celery is high, it’s able to keep you fuller longer, especially when you pair the celery with foods that are high in fat and protein as well. (Think guacamole made from high-in-good-fat avocados or having it in high-protein chicken soup.)

Besides keeping you full, fiber also helps with digestion and constipation—another benefit for you if you’re dealing with those kinds of issues. And even if you’re not, it can just help regulate you and keep everything flowing, if you get our drift.

Celery is also a great way to stay hydrated every day, especially if you’re not a big water fan. (Guilty.) Experts recommend drinking eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day — that’s about half a gallon! — and most of us struggle to do that each day. While celery shouldn’t replace your water, it’s a good way to prevent dehydration if you’re just not very into your water bottle that day.

Still not convinced? What about if celery had the potential to lower blood pressure? A study done by the University of Chicago Medical Center showed that a chemical extracted from celery was able to relax lab animals’ muscles and thus lowered their blood pressure. While the experiment needs to be done on humans, this is a good indicator that celery could have similar benefits in us.

Besides blood pressure, celery has been shown to help with symptoms of other conditions as well, including arthritis and gout, muscle spasms, colds and flu and water retention, says the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Perhaps the most crazy benefit of all: A flavonoid found in celery called luteolin may have anti-cancer properties, according to a study published in Current Cancer Drug Targets.

There’s only one way to find out if celery is capable of doing all these things—and that’s trying to eat it every day. What do you say? Will you try to incorporate more celery into your life?

13-Year-Old Is Told She Looks Pregnant At Pool Party, When Rumour Turns Out To Be True – She Makes This Decision.

in Uncategorized

Over the summer months popular 13-year-old Kennedy Griest, was preparing for her freshman year of high school in Michigan. A picture of her was taken at a pool party by one of her fellow classmates.

The image was shared online, where Kennedy’s classmates make remarks about how she looked pregnant in her swimming suit.

“Oh my God, look. Kennedy’s pregnant,” they wrote.

People began to question if the rumours were true, however Kennedy replied saying that it wasn’t a possibility. Although she had been dating her boyfriend for over a year now, they had begun having protected sex.

Kennedy acknowledged there was a possibility she might have been oblivious to the symptoms of pregnancy: the missed periods, being hormonal— but she and her mom just attributed it all to puberty.

So she decided to take a pregnancy test… along with  two more. As speculated the rumours were correct. At the tender age of 13 it turns out Kennedy was in fact very much, pregnant!

Kennedy was bullied and called cruel names as word spread rapidly. She felt hurt and humiliated, considering many of her friends were sexually active, too.

Her mother Wendy, was shocked to discover her daughter was expecting and didn’t once suspected her youngest child was sexually active. It eventually dawned on Wendy she hadn’t been asking the right questions.

Wendy was also aware that Kennedy was young and immature.

How in the world is she going to be able to take care of a baby?!” she asked herself.

Many suggested that Kennedy should consider and abortion but she refused. One option she did consider was an giving the child up for adoption.

Kennedy gave birth to a healthy baby girl at the age of 14 in October 2014.

The next thing that occurred will leave you surprised, inspired, and even hopeful… although the odds were against her Kennedy was determined to prove everyone wrong

Take a look at the video below for more details on her story:
