Steve Harvey’s Wife Is In Big Trouble After She Posted This Image Of Her Grandkids

in Trending

With the rise of social media, more and more of our lives are being shared with the world. Although it is completely natural, breastfeeding is a controversial topic. People feel uncomfortable around it when it happens in public, although it is just a way for the baby to get the food he or she needs to grow up strong. Now, Steve Harvey’s wife, Marjorie, shared an image on social media that involved her grandkids and breastfeeding – and as you might guess the internet had a field day over it.

In the image, Marjorie caught her granddaughters playing with their dolls. They were having fun with their toys and pretending to feed their dolls the same way their mother fed them – by the breast. In the short video clip, Marjorie’s adorable granddaughters are just going about the routine of feeding their baby in the most natural way – not with the bottle but from themselves.

However, when Steve Harvey’s wife shared the short clip on social media, she quickly learned that the internet does not find this behavior as adorable as she did. Although many little girls pretend they’re mothers to their dolls, Marjorie’s grandkids became the center of a debate around breastfeeding that quickly got out of line.

The clip went live on Instagram, and Marjorie quickly received many comments expressing distaste and even hatred toward what they were watching the little girls do with their dolls.

One person even went so far as to call the granddaughters’ play time a “sad” affair, writing:

“This is too far and sad. They are babies. Let them grow up. Why feed the imagination so quickly. Next thing you know they can’t wait to have a boy sucking their nipples. Then a baby. Next thing you know they are breastfeeding for real too early. Oh my God. People, please have wisdom. This is wrong. And disgusting.”

Another person was equally offended by the video this grandmother shared.

“Oh, Lord!!! Can children be children and just do stuff kids do? Just because mama does it does not mean that it’s OK for children to mimic. They have time later when they are old enough to appreciate breastfeeding their children. Unbelievable.”

Another person clarified in their comment that they support breastfeeding but not in children this young.

“I have nothing against breastfeeding. This is not cute at all. These are little girls. The time will come when they are of childbearing age and breastfeed their own child.”

Other people accused Marjorie of forcing her granddaughters to grow up too fast.

“Disgusting! Children are being mentally turned into adults before they’ve reached their teens. No thank you. Let the children grow up naturally!”

Some viewers supported the children’s play.

“This is beautiful and such an amazing, teachable moment.”

Marjorie laughed through the backlash. She’s a mother of seven and a grandmother of five. She knows a thing or two about raising children.

“Clearly some of y’all weren’t breastfed. Maybe that’s the problem. Some of y’all need a hug.”

Do you think it is all right for children to play at breastfeeding? Or do you think it is wrong?

Coughing teen asks dad to take her to hospital – within hours, he’s left broken

in Trending

It’s common for people to get sick during the winter months. It’s also common for people to put off going to the doctors or the hospital, particularly if all they’re experiencing is coughing.

We’ve all been there before; you get sick, take some time to rest and gradually get better.

If you’re symptoms persist, however, and you feel sick for a prolonged period of time, then it might well be a good idea to at least call a health care helpline and ask for advice …

Whilst it’s true that normally your body is strong enough to fight off flu and colds without medical intervention, in some cases the cough you’re experiencing can be down to something far more sinister than a mere virus.

16-year-old Shayla Mitchell didn’t feel quite right, and was suffering from a cough that refused to go away. In the beginning, she thought she might have contracted sinusitis.

One day, however, things got so bad that she asked her dad, Tom, if he could take her to see a doctor.

He gladly accepted, and the next day after school he picked his daughter up and drove her to the hospital. They even made plans to go for food afterwards.

Shayla was examined and the doctor left the room for a time. When he returned, he did so with a message that would change her life forever.

Shayla had such a large cancerous tumor that it took up almost two-thirds of her breasts. It had even caused one of her lungs to collapse, which is why she had been feeling bad for so long and couldn’t stop coughing.

Despite the news, Shayla and her dad decided to press on with dinner, though of course they had to have it in hospital instead of a restaurant. At that time, they had no idea that the next 450 meals they would take would be in the pediatric oncology unit at Fairfax Hospital.

Shayla had advanced Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and the prognosis wasn’t good.

Tom decided to make a gesture to show his daughter she would always have his support. He went to a store and bought a matching bracelet for each of them, promising he would wear his every day until Shayla beat the cancer.

Over the next few years, Tom spent hundreds of nights with his daughter while they battled the terrible disease together.

Shayla endured hundreds of tests, blood transfusions, radiation therapy, chemotherapy and a cardiac arrest … but she never stopped fighting.

For Tom, it was agony. He held his daughter’s hair while she vomited, cried with her, laughed with her, and was brave with her.

Then, the day came when doctors accepted they could do nothing more for Shayla. Her body wasn’t responding to treatment and a bone marrow transplant had failed.

Here’s what Tom wrote on the Love What Matters Facebook page:

“How in the world was I supposed to have this conversation with my darling daughter?” he wrote. “How in the world was I going to be brave enough to tell my daughter she was going to die? I once heard a quote that sort of sums things up for me. “Can a man still be brave if he is afraid? … That is the only time he CAN be brave.”

“I knew I had to be brave for HER! I did of course have that conversation with her, and as unbelievable as this may sound it turned out to be the most amazing, beautiful, magical, wonderful conversation I’ve ever had in my entire life, and one that I hope you NEVER EVER have to have…”

For when Tom had finished talking, his daughter whispered back: “Am I still brave Dad?”

It was then that Tom looked back into his little girl’s eyes and saw how much pain she was in. She’d been fighting for so long, and he realized it wasn’t for her, but for him.
A few days later, Shayla passed away. Tom was devastated, but he knew one thing for sure: Shayla had fought hard and long – she had fulfilled her promise and was brave until the end.

Please, share this story with your friends on Facebook to honor Shayla and all the other children who have died from cancer.

Teacher Explains To Deaf Student That Others Can Hear His Farts And His Reaction Is Hilarious

in Trending

A teacher at an elementary school recently had to have a somewhat indelicate conversation with some of her deaf students: She had to break the news to them that hearing people know when they have passed gas.

Anna Trupiano is a classroom teacher at a school that serves hearing students as well as deaf and hard-of-hearing students. She conducts her lessons verbally and in American Sign Language. Sometimes, she finds herself explaining things to deaf students about how hearing people understand the world and vice-versa. But Trupiano wasn’t exactly prepared for this conversation.

The class had to take a break after an unexpected segue.

After a deaf student in her first-grade class audibly passed gas, the child was surprised to see hearing classmates starting to snicker. They weren’t sure why everyone was turning around to stare and asked Trupiano what was going on.

“Hearing people can hear farts,” Trupiano said.

Her deaf students were astonished. The concept had never occurred to them that these normal bodily functions made sounds.

“Tell them to stop listening to my farts!” the child demanded. “That is not nice!”

Trupiano explained that the hearing students couldn’t help but overhear bodily functions when they were loud. Her deaf students were also surprised to learn that everyone experiences those same bodily functions — even though they might not know when it was happening!

“I went to college for 8 years to have these conversations,” Trupiano quipped in a Facebook post.

The adorable conversation actually makes a real point.

But the teacher knows that the silly conversation had a much deeper meaning. It was a moment when students got insight into a new part of the world that hearing people take for granted.

“I know it started with farts, but the real issue is that many of my students aren’t able to learn about these things at home or from their peers because they don’t have the same linguistic access,” she said. “So many of my students don’t have families who can sign well enough to explain so many things it’s incredibly isolating for these kids.”
In addition to educating students, Trupiano has the challenge of helping deaf students adapt to society, especially since hearing people often don’t offer enough accommodation for the needs of non-hearing people.

Keeping deaf people out of the loop is one of the worst things you can do.

Most hearing people can’t imagine the sounds that they take for granted. But there are a lot of sounds that they rely on without even knowing it. Deaf people, meanwhile, have no way of knowing they exist without explanation.

It might be a silly example, but it points to a larger problem in the deaf community: feelings of isolation. Society at large depends so much on understanding sounds and hearing cues that it takes these things for granted.

The deaf community, meanwhile, is left out of these kinds of social cues, and it means being left out of a huge part of daily interactions. It’s almost like an inside joke that no one will explain.

Feelings of loneliness and isolation are extremely common in the deaf community.

Many hearing people also don’t make an effort to learn basic signs even if they have deaf people in their lives. Many deaf people feel extremely isolated or inferior because of this kind of treatment.

“I’ve always felt isolated and lonely particularly in social situations, even with family members,” said Vincent Wakeling, a deaf man living in England. “I find being deaf very hard, I am aware of how little I understand. I know when people are trying to talk with me that I don’t understand what they are saying, and as a British Sign Language (BSL) user I have the added difficulty of them not understanding me either.

“I feel sad that I cannot communicate easily with people, people seem to feel awkward and that makes me feel bad too. People don’t seem to understand that being deaf is not as easy as they might think.”

So, what should hearing people do?

The answer is to make society more favorable to deaf and hard-of-hearing people. Hearing people should try to learn to sign and reach out to their deaf peers. If you are around a deaf person daily, it is polite to make an effort to learn some basic signs, even if you are not planning on becoming fluent in sign language. In fact, this is not a courtesy. It is simply a basic gesture of respect, so the deaf people in your life know that you value their input and want to include them in what is going on.

“I deserve to be a part of the equation,” said Elizabeth Edgar in an article for The Mighty. “I deserve to be involved. I deserve to feel important.”

By refusing to include deaf people in everyday conversations and happenings, Edgar explains, hearing people make them feel like second-class citizens who don’t get to be included. A little bit of effort goes a long way.

Even if you don’t know a lot of sign language, there are plenty of ways to communicate with deaf people respectfully and thoughtfully.

Some deaf or hard-of-hearing people read lips. Ask them if they prefer to communicate this way and how fast or slow you should speak to accommodate them. Even if this is an uncomfortable conversation for you, it is a basic gesture of respect to make sure they can understand, even if you aren’t familiar with sign language.

Basically, the best way to reach out to a deaf person is to let them decide how they want to communicate and what pace to set. Then, follow their lead. Stay in their visual field, keep eye contact, and don’t go out of your way to make exaggerated facial expressions or slow your words drastically. This can make it harder to understand you. If they need you to slow down, they will ask.

Treat them like normal people, because they are!

The worst thing you can do as a hearing person? Treat a deaf person like they’re disabled.

The fact is, deaf people lead completely normal lives. They drive, walk, joke, get married, and have children. Treating them like they’re helpless or stupid is extremely insulting. Do everything you can to reach out to them, but don’t ask rude questions, act like they’re faking, or speak down to them because they can’t hear.

The best thing you can do? Learn sign language. There are tons of resources to learn basic signs, or even more if you’re interested. The hearing world reaching out to the deaf world is the best way to bridge the gap between communities.

Cop Tells Woman To Open Trunk Cause Lights Are Out, Doesn’t Realize She’s Recording His Actions

in Trending

One of the most stressful experiences we will probably have in life is getting pulled over by a police officer. From the moment that we see the blue lights flashing in the mirror behind us, we know that our day is not going to go well. Then again, what happened to this woman shows that it doesn’t always have to go the wrong direction.

Chy-Niece Thacker was on her way to a job interview. She was desperate to get work.

In order to make ends meet, she was cutting all of the corners she could possibly find to cut. She had also repaired her car, which made a big dent in her budget as well. It needed the maintenance and Chy-Niece decided it was now a priority.

That is when she got pulled over by a police officer. She was hoping that the cop would just let her go without giving her a ticket.

Like most of us, the first thing that she did was check the speedometer when she saw the lights behind her. She realized she wasn’t speeding but then she heard the siren.

Chy-Niece put on her turn signal and pulled off to a safe area along the road. That is when panic started to set in. She knew that she could be in real danger in such a situation.

Officer Jenkins walked up to her window and she started looking for her driver’s license and registration. That is when the police officer let her know that she didn’t need to show him anything. He was just there to tell her that she had a brake light out.

Chy-Niece explained that she had just paid to have her lights changed and she said that she couldn’t afford an auto repair bill, just to test the wiring.

Officer Jenkins told her to get out of the vehicle and open the trunk. He went to the back of the car and started tapping on the lights.

They still weren’t coming on so Jenkins went to the front of the car and started looking at the wiring. He then asked her to try the lights again and they were both working.

Chy-Niece wasn’t sure what he had done to get the lights working but she was amazed at how kind he was. She told him that she was panicked when he started to pull her over but he said: “I care more about your safety than giving you a ticket. I don’t want anyone running into the back of you.”

He then told her to have a good day and that was the last she saw him.

If only we had more officer Jenkins’ in the world today. He could have given her a ticket or a warning but he did what he could to make sure that she was safe when she got back on the road again.

He didn’t know it but she was taking pictures and a video of the entire thing. She had been suspicious so she had her camera out but instead of doing something corrupt, he did something amazing.

Some shots from the video were uploaded to Facebook and managed to get almost 500,000 likes and over 100,000 shares, and still going.

Among the people that commented on the post were the police department, The Henrico County Police. They were happy to hear that one of their police officers was truly serving the public and thanked her for letting others know about it.

Thanks to the help of this kind officer, she was able to get to her interview without a problem. She also had plenty of confidence by that point and was offered the job.

We live in a world where we often hear bad news about police officers but it’s important to remember that many of them are still out there to protect and serve.

Salon mistake with eyelash extensions leaves woman unable to see

Twitter user Megan Rixson revealed that a mistake by the beauty therapist she paid to apply her lashes resulted in a scary injury to her eyes.

The salon in question accidentally used nail glue instead of eyelash glue, leaving Megan with painful, swollen eyes and causing her to temporarily lose her vision.

She writes “Girls be very very careful where you get your eyelashes done! I got my individuals done today somewhere new and it turns out they used nail glue on my lashes.” Megan explains “I genuinely lost my sight for 2 hours. Thankfully the swelling has gone down, but there still very sore. Be careful.”

In the video she shared, Megan’s eyes look extremely sore and watery, as she explains that ‘everything is blurry.’

Thankfully, Megan regained her sight after the incident and made a fully recovery.

Very scary, though!

Texas gal politely holds restaurant door open, only to hear woman’s remark and decide to speak

in Trending

In today’s world it’s more important than ever to observe the small courtesies that make all the difference.

Small gestures can make a big difference to someone’s day, while compassionate actions done with strangers in mind are usually always gratefully accepted. In short, it’s nice to be nice, and can sometimes go a lot further than you think.

Just ask Brooke Ochoa of Louise, Texas, who was walking into a restaurant for lunch when she spotted an elderly lady approaching. The 30-year-old waited to hold the door open for the women – an act she considered to be mere politeness. Little did she know, however, that a remark the lady would make just seconds later would spark a chain of events causing her to go viral …

Brooke and the woman entered the restaurant at the same time, only for Brooke to overhear the lady ask for a “table for one”.

When she realized the lady was set to dine alone, Brooke approached her and bestowed yet another act of kindness. According to Today, Brooke went to the woman’s table and asked: “I’m eating by myself too would you like to have lunch together?”

In good company

Not only did the lady, named Dolores, accept Brooke’s offer, but she was positively delighted for the company. As per ABC 6, the two struck up an instant friendship, talking at length during their meal.

Dolores revealed to Brooke that she’d been having a tough time of things of late. “Come to find out, she spent the last decade living with her mom, who recently passed away, and her aunt, who recently was put into a nursing home,” Brooke wrote in a later Facebook post about the encounter.

“She has been having a hard time being alone.”

She continued: “She just kept smiling and saying thank you for listening to me, which made me smile too! Her words healed my heart just as much as I healed her lonely one.”

Healing together

Brooke and Dolores enjoyed their conversation so much that they agreed to have lunch together every Thursday from that point on.

In a later update, not long after their first meeting, Brooke revealed that Dolores had passed away, making the fact that she was able to brighten her life all the more special.

If nothing else, this chance conversation is proof that the smallest gestures of goodwill can quite literally change a life. Neither of these women knew that Dolores’ days on this Earth were numbered, but they found solace in each other, and that’s what matters.

If more people thought and acted like Brooke, the world would be a much nicer place!

Autistic boy fails school exams – teacher sends him home with powerful letter that goes viral

in Trending

Raising a child with learning difficulties isn’t any less rewarding than raising one without them, but it can be said that it’s a great deal tougher.

Whilst parents of children without learning difficulties undoubtedly fret over all the usual things a mother or father does, those parents whose children are born with conditions such as autism have all those concerns and more.

What’s more, in addition to the worries of the parents, the children themselves can sometimes struggle in high-pressure social environments. There is no better example of this than school, where grades play a major role in your progress.

11-year-old Ben Twist lives with autism, and his mom Gail was handed a huge surprise when her son’s school sent a letter home after he failed his SAT tests …

When Gail received a letter from Ben’s school, she would have been forgiven for expecting it to say something about how he needed to work harder or improve his grades. Instead, the letter contained nothing of the sort.

The innovative thinkers at Lansbury Bridge School and Sports College, in St. Helens, Merseyside instead gave Ben a boost of confidence. Despite the fact he’d failed his SAT tests, his teacher recognized that what he needed was support, not condemnation.

The letter

Mrs. Clarkson sent him home with a touching letter that let him know just how skilled he is, and what exactly he brings to the table.

The letter reads:

“Dear Ben,

I am writing you to congratulate you on your attitude and success in completing your end of key stage SATs.

Gil, Lynn, Angela, Steph and Anne have worked so well with you this year and you have made some fabulous progress.

I have written to you and your parents to tell you the results of the tests.

A very important piece of information I want you to understand is that these tests only measure a little bit of you and your abilities. They are important and you have done so well, but Ben Twist is made up of many other skills and talents that we at Lansbury Bridge see and measure in other ways.”

The response

Upon reading the letter, Ben’s mom Gail found herself tearing up.

Mrs. Clarkson’s letter went on to list the things Ben was good at, things that a usual school test can’t measure.

“Other talents you have that these tests do not measure include: -Your artistic talents, your ability to work in a team, your growing independence, your kindness, your ability to express your opinion, your abilities in sports, your ability to make and keep friends, your ability to discuss and evaluate your own progress, your design and building talents, and your musical ability.

We are so pleased that all of these different talents and abilities make you the special person you are and these are all of the things we measure to reassure us that you are always making progress and continuing to develop as a lovely, bright young man.

Well done Ben, we are very proud of you.

Best Wishes,

Mrs. Clarkson”

The world needs more teacher’s like Mrs. Clarkson! It would have been all too easy for her to send a standard letter telling Ben’s mom that he needed to improve or change in some way. She didn’t though, because she realizes that judging a fish on its ability to climb a tree is as pointless as judging a monkey on its ability to swim in deep waters.

We hope that Ben takes his teacher’s words to heart and uses them to remember that his value should never be measured by the results of a school test.

Baby Who Was Cooked In Oven By Her Mom, Continues To Thrive 14 Years Later; Hits Major Milestone

in Trending

This story began in 2002 when there was a 14-month-old baby that was discovered in an oven by Robert Smith, her father. This all happened in their home in Prattville, Alabama. Melissa Wright, the child’s mother, pulled all of the racks out of the oven and set it to 600 degrees Fahrenheit. Once the oven was set to broil, Wright, placed the baby, whose name is Ashley, in the oven and allowed the child to burn.

By some miracle, this resilient and determined little girl survived this. She ended up going through 28 surgeries over the course of a decade due to her extensive third-degree burns.

Fast forward 14 years and little Ashley is not so little anymore. She is now 15 and preparing to start her freshman year of high school. Melissa Wright, her mother who put her in the oven, is still in prison over the heinous act. Ashley recently called the parole board and asked that her mother not be granted parole in this case.

In 2003, Wright went to court over the horrific thing that she did to her daughter. She was charged with attempted murder and plead guilty to the charges. As a result, she was sentenced to 25 years in prison. Before pleading guilty, she tried to fool the court and told authorities that she did not put her daughter in the oven. She claimed that the child simply fell in when she was holding her and that the oven door just closed on its own. Of course, this was quickly proven to be untrue by the prosecution. She tried another tactic to try and get out of her charges after this failed. She said that she had voices that told her that she should place Ashley in the oven.

She was considered for an early release just this past July. However, she was ultimately denied this. Ashley feels that her mother deserves to serve her full sentence and her attorney put this request in writing. Since she was denied parole this time, she will not be able to try for it against until 2021.

Courtney Brenson, Ashley’s sister, feels that their mother should be allowed to be on parole. She visits Melissa Wright and claims that she is different now and that her mental health is in a better state. Ashley disagrees and feels that Wright needs to spend more time in prison for what she put her through. Ashley says that she did forgive Melissa, however, and while she does not love her, she does not hate her either.

An uncle and aunt on Ashley’s father side raised her after the horrific incident. She considers them to be her parents. She says that Wright never apologized for what she did to her.

Ashley is not allowing the trauma that happened when she was a baby stop her from living a full life. She is getting ready to head to high school. From there, she plans to head to college and she eventually wants to work at a children’s hospital as a surgeon so that she can help kids like healthcare providers helped her when she was a child.

Photo Of A Baby Born Just Minutes Earlier Is Taking The Internet By Storm. Look Closer

in Trending

There is always a reason something goes viral. And in my experience is because there is a story behind it. Whether it is a moment when someone showed a homeless man generosity or someone stood up to their abusive parents. The viral photo or video has to do with something that goes beyond the piece of content itself – something infused with deep meaning. And the same is true for this image of a newborn baby. In the picture, the nurse is holding the crying newborn who is still all “cheesy” from birth. And when the image got posted onto Facebook, it went up with the caption, “Some people are in such a hurry to put the picture of baby on FB.” And if you look really close, you’ll see the reason why this image went viral. Can you see it?

Although the image of the newborn is adorable enough as it is, the picture went viral when people noticed the thing hiding within the frame. It doesn’t detract from the newborn’s cuteness, because it only adds to it. And when you spot the lurking secret, you’ll admit that there is a good reason this one went viral.

It took eagle-eyed viewers to see the thing in the newborn picture. And it came after the picture was posted to the Bubs Warehouse International Facebook page. The image features the nurse in scrubs who is holding the newborn.

While we mentioned the first half of the caption up above in the intro, the second half of it read like this:

“They just forget some things before posting.”

While the nurse was clearly focused on the baby – and so was the person behind the camera – mom was still laid out in bed recovering from the birth. And after viewers saw the image, they realized that mom was there exposed in the background for all to see. Dad (or whoever took the snap) was so eager to get the picture on Facebook, he compromised mom’s nether-regions for all to see.

Question of the week: If you could take a vacation anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Behind the baby in the background, mom is on her back on the bed, exhausted, with her legs spread wide open for the camera and the rest of the internet to see. She has just given birth to the baby featured in the picture and doesn’t realize that she is all exposed.

Many women related to the moment and shared their reactions on social media. And some moms even admitted that they themselves were in the same kind of situation.

“Hahahahahaha this happened to me with my son – my mum did the picture of my son on the weighing table thingy all focused on him not realising and put it on Facebook without realizing,” one mother wrote. “Yep I was in the photo.”

“Omg this actually was my mum she got camera happy in the delivery room beautiful newborn baby and completely forgetting my gina wad out,” another mother wrote. “Thankfully it didn’t make fb it did get printed at the photographers though.”

Some moms took the photo as a warning:

“Just a friendly reminder to let me vet the fb announcement photo please,” [sic] one mom wrote.

Girl Screams When The Dog Lunges At Her, Realizes He Sacrificed Himself For Her

in Trending

Something was missing from Donya DeLuca. And she knew what it was. Her long-time family dog had died, and she needed a dog in her home, an animal who could bring joy and happiness to her every day. That’s why Donya adopted a two-year-old German shepherd from a local rescue organization. She named the dog Haus. But Donya had no idea that he would go on to become a hero and save the life of her seven-year-old daughter and the child’s grandmother.

If Donya’s husband could have seen the future, he certainly never would have been skeptical about the family adopting Haus.

“We had recently lost our family dog, who had been with us for 13 years,” Donya told TODAY. “So he looked at me like, ‘Are you serious?’ But I just couldn’t pass up the chance to rescue him.”

And not long after Haus came home with the family did all doubt get erased. He was a fantastic animal and quickly became part of the family.

“He just bonded with all of us so quickly. It was like he was always part of our home,” she said. “Even the neighbors took to him. It was meant to be. Especially, at night, he’s very protective of the kids. He follows them around. He takes care of them.”

Haus was a good choice all around.

But the family never would have guessed that Haus’s protective skills would have saved the life of their daughter. However, when a rattlesnake appeared in the yard, the snake went to attack seven-year-old Molly and the child’s grandmother.

Haus refused to let that happen.

“It’s easy to see for anyone who’s spent any time with Haus and our children that he absolutely nannies our children and watches out for them,” Donya told ABC News. “It’s common for him to sweep the yard or check everything out when he goes out. And he stood his ground and continued to charge when a large, venomous snake was attacking him.”

Haus proved that he was a hero. And he saved Molly and her grandmother from the potentially deadly snake. They had no idea it was lurking in the yard looking to bite.

“I was really scared,” Molly told ABC.

He protected the family with his life. And during the attack, the snake bit Haus three times. And after the attack, authorities believe the snake was an Eastern diamondback rattlesnake. These are some of the most dangerous snakes in the United States.

Although he saved the child and her grandmother, Haus had sacrificed himself. The family rushed him to the animal hospital but worried it was too late.

Veterinarians decided to use an “unorthodox” approach and place him on an anti-venom drip. And it worked.

“It’s semi-miraculous, his condition,” Donya said while Haus was still recovering. “What keeps me going is how he still flicks his tail every time he sees me come into his kennel even though I know he’s hurting.”

Haus proved that although he was new, he was a faithful family member. He sacrificed himself to save the child and her grandmother from the venomous rattlesnake.
